Production Notes
These Pinot Noir grapes are 50% Clone 667 and 50% Clone 777, handpicked from Mark Anthony Vineyard in Santa Lucia Highlands at brix and ripeness specifications determined by our winemaker Scott Ballew. They are delivered by the ton to Strey Cellars in whole clusters, then crushed onsite to 25% whole cluster and destemmed, followed by cold soaking for three days for desired color extraction. During fermentation, the wine is temperature controlled for two weeks and barrel aged in 100% New French Oak for 12 months. It is filtered to one micron for clarity and then hand-bottled with love and attention to detail as a single varietal.
