14 Feb BIG NEWS!!!

Wine Club, Followers, Family and Friends,
We have exciting news to share!! After a year in the making, it is finally safe to say The Ballews are expanding operations and beginning a secondary venture complete with winery, brewery, distilling, kitchen and a significantly larger venue. Where you might ask? 126 Wood Rd Suite 104…we’re buying Cantara Cellars/Flatfish Brewing from Mike and Chris Brown.
It is an absolute honor to develop the enterprise The Browns began over 20 years ago! We raise a glass and salute them both as they find much deserved relaxation and joy in retirement! Having started his winemaking journey in 2006 under the supervision of Mike Brown at Cantara Cellars, it seems only fitting during Strey Cellars 12-year anniversary that Scott stretches his wings a bit further and take another leap. At first, “under new ownership” we look forward to absorbing what the Browns have built and make the space our own with bold strokes by renovating and rebranding. We are excited to bring some Ballew charm and grace to Camarillo.
Don’t be alarmed, Strey Cellars isn’t going anywhere, you can always find our favorite winemaker’s varietals two exits north in Oxnard. However, Camarillo Barrel Works is coming to Exit 57 (Central Ave); an innovative destination seamlessly blending the worlds of micro-winemaking, craft brewing and small batch distilling under one roof. Offering exceptional hand-crafted wines, beers, sparkling and spirits within a vibrant community focused space enhanced by live entertainment and delicious food with the heart felt flare only Scott and Katie Ballew can deliver!
So, there you go! The transition starts this weekend. See you at 126 Wood Rd if you aren’t already planning to kick it at 951 N Rice. Stay tuned for additional details!
